On May 20, 2024, Nelson Group announced that it had signed a $230 million smart warehouse equipment agreement with Amazon. Its AI-controlled heavy-duty shelves will be used in Amazon's 10 new distribution centers in the United States. The system monitors inventory in real time through IoT sensors, reducing manual picking errors by 80%.
Nelson Group's CFO revealed that this cooperation marks its North American market share exceeding 15%. Analysts pointed out that this technology may become a key solution for logistics giants to meet the demand for "same-day delivery".
